I also think the fact that it’s so rare to find purple in nature gives it a certain mystique amongst it’s fellow greens and oranges. From a painter’s perspective purple is the bridge between warm and cold shades- a perfect mixture of reds and blues. No matter why you like it, purple is indeed the new black.
